    Responsibilities

    Summary: Member of the Army Sample Data Collection and Analysis (SDC&A) team.  Project manager responsible for managing and implementing vehicle Health and Usage Monitoring Analysis (HUMA) team initiatives in multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations.  Coordinates to provide resources to support HUMA mission field operations requirements. 

     

    Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    • Ensure contract Primary Work Statement requirements relating to the HUMA project are achieved.
    • Provide technical direction and management oversight for Condition Based Maintenance (CBM) Technician and Automotive Equipment Installer and Data Collector activities.
    • Train and certify field employees in accordance with HUMA requirements contained in program Standing Operating Procedure (SOP) documents and publications.
    • Manage and maintain the CBM section of the program Field Monitor’s Guide.
    • Evaluate and interview prime and subcontractor candidates for CBM Technician positions.
    • Assist customer in requirements analysis, design, and development of specifications for data collection system devices, database architecture, and data transmitting, processing, and analysis.
    • Provide technical oversight and management of subcontractor work relating to the HUMA project.
    • Provide technical requirements documentation to the PM in support of subcontractor work and funding.
    • Seek to improve existing SDC&A processes with a key focus on finding ways to automate and introduce improved data validation methods.
    • Address Digital Source Collector system health and data collection issues which typically requires updated software pushes to fielded laptops.
    • Facilitate hardware/software configuration management across all HUMA systems.
    • Coordinate hardware/software/firmware configurations to meet data collection needs.
    • Support fielded laptop data collection to include use and function of applications (JPro, CGI, CBMDaT, CAT ET, etc.), and required laptop updates, issues and fielding.
    • Prepare reports, charts, tables, diagrams, and briefings needed to report project progress.
    • Provide ad hoc support to customer for various projects and inquiries.
    • Maintain an accurate inventory of data collection system devices, both fielded and in inventory.
    • Occasional travel to project field sites in CONUS and OCONUS to review internal operations, conduct training and testing, and ensure compliance with PWS requirements.

     

    Qualifications

    Qualifications, Education and / or Experience:

    • BS in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering, or equivalent and at least 8 years of relevant work experience.
    • Good leadership and administrative experience to include at least 2 years of project management.
    • Ability to coordinate issues across multiple work locations and organizational structures.
    • Excellent troubleshooting and analysis skills.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance.
    • Ability to work as a member of a team.

     

    Reasoning Ability:

    Ability to apply a common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

    The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.  While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires normal manual dexterity, speech and hearing.  The position requires walking, sitting, climbing steps, traveling, occasionally lifting up to 75 lbs, entering and exiting Army equipment, and periods of field duty in all environments in CONUS and OCONUS locations.  The operation of motor vehicles is required. Specific vision abilities required by this job require frequent use of a computer monitor.

     

    Work Environment:

    The work environment is primarily in an office setting with occasional visits to Army unit motor pools and field locations in CONUS and OCONUS.
