The Intrepid team is responsible for developing CONOPS, architectures, system level requirements, acquisition-level requirements, ICDs, independent verification, validation and test in support of delivered system capabilities and mission closure, participation in readiness events in support of enterprise, system and acquisition-level ground milestones; leading and supporting project planning; assessing schedule and risk; generating and presenting engineering briefings; and interfacing with numerous customers.
Requires 5 to 8 years with BS/BA or 3 to 5 years with MS/MA or 0 to 2 years with PhD.
The candidate will be performing system engineering to ensure the full allocation of requirements across multiple acquisitions. This position requires the successful candidate to be free of personal conflicts of interest for a select list of companies. The selected candidate will be able to dissect enterprise requirements into lower level segment and service bins, understand the interactions between each segment/service and provide recommendations on options for implementation. The ability to create complete and compelling presentations to ensure all members of the team fully understand the requirements is also required. Expertise in the areas of ground systems development or software development or ground satellite antenna development is required.
• 7 years’ experience in space/ground aerospace systems engineering
• BS in engineering, physics or related technical degree
• Experience in development of requirements, traceability, and system engineering in general
• Strong business acumen; ability to relate professionally inside the work environment
• Experience identifying user & enterprise needs/requirements and gap identification, analysis and assessment
• Experience in working with acquisition offices to ensure acquired technology meets requirements
