Responsibilities

Overview:

Requires Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and operations support.  Specifically the Division has a need to establish, implement, and maintain systems engineering and operations processes for systems under development and those ready to be deployed to the field.

  • Provide in depth technical support to development, maintain and implement systems engineering processes focusing on delivered systems through deployment
  • Document requirements and provide oversight and guidance in support of engineering development and operational deployment of various one off platforms
  • Develop, maintain and implement a division level integrated master schedule
  • Consolidate information across multiple operations and engineering entities to provide regular status updates to leadership on development and collection efforts to include upcoming milestones, technical, programmatic and operational risk and mitigations
  • Assist with development of documents that may include operation plans, operation approval requests, technical capabilities summaries and other documents appropriate to particular operations and supporting milestones such as Engineering Review Boards, Project Initial Reviews, Vulnerability and Risk Reviews, Operational Readiness Reviews, and Operational Readiness Exercises.  

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, science, or other related technical discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience in complex, multi-segmented system development and integration projects including five (5) years or more of specialized, relevant technical experience in the general areas of systems engineering, system development, hardware and software development.
  • 8+ years of experience in overseeing the design, development, and testing of highly reliable, environmentally survivable, field deployable, autonomous systems.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to articulate complex information; verbally, written and into presentations formats.
  • Ability to capture translate complex design into technical requirements.
  • Ability to prioritize and balance competing priorities with short deadlines
  • Ability to anticipate and creatively solve problems.
  • Positive attitude and ability to work in a team environment

 Desired:

  • Master’s degree or higher in an engineering, science, nuclear, or other related technical discipline.
  • Experience taking engineered products/solutions and transitioning to deployment while working with multiple stakeholders to achieve buy-in.
  • Experience developing project schedules to fit each individual deployment situation.

 

Requires 16+ years with BS/BA or 14+ years with MS/MA or 10+ years with Ph.D.
