The Coastal Database Administrator will provide science, stewardship and support services for the Center for Coasts, Oceans, and Geophysics (CCOG). The Coastal Database Administrator requires broad background in database work in order to support both coastal data acquisition and the current coastal product portfolio which are based on a variety of database applications and data services. In particular the coastal data acquisition effort will be working with data providers such as NMFS to meet common formats for data submitted for both archive and inclusion in CCOG products.
The Coastal Database Administrator shall develop data products and services that incorporate the contributions and serve the needs of the diverse stakeholder community for the Coastal Data Development (CDD) Program, Gulf of Mexico Restoration, Coastal Ecosystems Sustainability, Tourism, and the RESTORE Act Science Program.
