PEO IWS leads a professional and experienced organization that delivers Enterprise solutions for Naval Warfare Systems in the areas of Air Defense, Missile Defense, Undersea Warfare, Anti-Submarine Warfare, and Anti-Surface Warfare. These solutions must operate seamlessly and effectively at the unit level and within the Fleet and Joint Forces and provide technically superior war fighting capability. The PEO IWS mission is to take the fight to the enemy and win, across a spectrum of uncontested and contested maritime environments and with Force compositions that can include a dynamic mix of small mission-tailorable and large multi-mission-capable units.


  • Collects, processes and maintains data for analysis.
  • Implements, monitors and adjusts solutions, to support acquisition support of complex combat systems. Interacts with clients to understand data and critical variables.
  • Presents and explains solutions to customers.
  • Takes lead role in providing past performance analysis, complex cost analysis of contractor proposals, generation of fact finding questions, and development of Technical Advisory Reports for all contract types. 


  • Bachelor's degree w/2 years' experience OR HS degree w/8 plus years' experience.
  • Experience in drafting acquisition documents to include acquisition plans, acquisition strategies, source selection plans, justification and approvals, and determination and findings.
  • Experience with processing modifications to contracts, Technical Instructions (TIs),  letters, technical instructions, task orders, etc. 
  • Knowledge of financial/budget system and processing documents in ERP; experience in reconciling detailed and complex financials as it applies to contractual funding allocations and execution.
  • Experience with contract management or administration is preferred with demonstrable experience with writing, reviewing, or editing Technical Instructions (TI), Purchase Requests (PR), Budget Exhibits, and Standard Puchasing System (SPS) documents.
  • Proficient with acquisition procurement support using the Standard Procurement System (SPS) for running Purchase Requests (PRs), supporting CDRL collection, review and analysis, and developing the acquisition related docs (TEMP, APs, ASs) for system procurement support.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills and have strong skills in MS Office and the ability to use those tools effectively to address customer objectives; must be innovative and proactive with strong analytical skills.
  • Relevant operational or acquisition experience related to DOD or USG systems, prior experience with PEO IWS is a plus. Navy experience is preferred.
