Vencore is seeking a Hardware and Software Integration Engineer.
Must have knowledge of avionics systems, Ada and C, C++
Must be experienced with system level testing and software requirements
Desired experience with Apache AH-64 or other US Army helicopters
Will assist with the hardware and software integration activity of the Apache AH-64 D Block 14 aircraft
Min 7+ years of relevant experience
Under minimal direction, perform as a technical expert in the design, development, coding, testing, debugging, deployment and integration of new software/hardware of complex enhancements to existing systems.
Work with technical staff to understand and to develop resolutions to technical problems.
Resolve customer complaints and respond to suggestions for product modifications or enhancements.
Requires 8 to 10 years with BS/BA or 6 to 8 years with MS/MA or 3 to 5 years with PhD.
Software development experience with DoD/ US Army Rotary Wing Aircraft & associated Avionics, Flight control, Weapons Systems, component/subsystem integration
Proficiency in Ada, C, C++ and C# and development platforms running on Linux & SUN systems.
Familiar with Aircraft electronic topologies and technologies
Experience developing applications which are multithreaded
Be a key player in an agile software development team.
Comfortable with reading government and aircraft OEM technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and system and subsystem specifications.
Graphics programming comfort, glass cockpit & flight instrumentation
Geospatial Information Systems applications experience is a plus.
Familiarity with rotary wing flight simulators, Rotary wing aircraft flight parameters, and aviation engineering vocabulary and terminology.
Accustomed to writing tests for code modifications and assisting QA with validation.
Ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplined IPT structure.
Able to discuss task level implementation with customers, management and peers.
Other beneficial areas/skills
Experience with OpenSceneGraph and osgEarth would be a big plus.
